I'm a fan. I just decided.
I definitely did not get enough sleep last... week. Yes, it's been going on for awhile. I just stay up too late! And it makes the next day so, so hard - hard to get up, hard to be productive, hard to enjoy my job. And it's probably a crankiness factor, too. Well, self-discipline is about to be implemented because I just don't think this is healthy.
But the great thing about this is that it's a simple step toward making life LOTS better. Just speaking from experience, I can see it lifting my mood, giving me more energy (obviously), improving my outlook on life, and more that I'm too tired to list right now because I stayed up too late last night.
I'm just saying, maybe this world could be a better place if everyone just got enough sleep. We would have more control of our tempers and get along better. We would smile more. We would see more beauty in the world....
According to the National Sleep Foundation, "Sleep is vital to our health and well-being, and is just as important as diet and exercise." I don't know what to say to people who have insomnia or other sleep disorders, but I just tend to be a stay-up-late-AND-get-up-early person. I have no excuse! (Not that I'd want one; I hear insomnia is terrible.)
So, I just wanted to say that I'm ready to do my part to make the world a better place, starting with me and my sleep. Good night!
